All Weather Mats

If you are still using normal floor mats in your car, you are missing out. There are several brands of rubber all weather mats available that can make keeping your car clean easier, and help reduce the number of stains from muddy feet and spills. All weather mats vary in size based on the type of vehicle you own, so it is a good idea to check with your preferred auto dealer’s parts department to see which ones will work for you.

Pick the Right Parking Spots

This might seem like a no-brainer, but if you want to keep your car as clean as possible, try to park it in a garage when it isn’t in use or in a covered car port. Also, try to avoid parking under large trees. This especially applies in the fall season because you will end up with many unwanted leaves on your vehicle.

Check the Forecast

One of the least satisfying experiences you can have is washing your car then having it all rinsed away by the rain. It’s a good idea to check the weather forecast and look for a break of a few days of sunshine. Wash your car on the first sunny day so you can enjoy it before the rain clouds rear their ugly head again.

Make Sure to Wax Your Car

Waxing your car is important to help keep it shiny, and protected from the harsh weather elements. There are many theories as to how often you should wax your car, but at least once a year is recommended with synthetic waxes. Make sure to wash your car before you start waxing, and wax undercover. To save yourself time and money, you can also have an auto detailer take care of this for you.

Walking out in the rain to clean a bunch of garbage out of you car isn’t fun at all. That is why it is best to try to take a piece of garbage with you every time you exit your vehicle. Another benefit of practicing this is that you don’t have to worry about a dirty car when you have unexpected passengers.
